The Plan-b is a prototype from U.K. company PDD that uses WiFi and GPS to update an traveler’s itinerary with information relevant to their current position on their trip. The user can pre-load travel plans on a personal website and the Plan-b will check and confirm flight times and other travel arrangements, updating if there is a delay or change in booking.
While it sounds extremely useful, I can’t help but wonder if this isn’t the sort of thing that would be better sold as a software package for GPS-enabled PDAs (since that’s probably all the prototype is, anyway) instead of an all-in-one device.
