The BBC just released this pic of the Twelfth Doctor in his official Doctor duds, and… huh! Stylish. A nice mix of classic and modern, well befitting a time traveler. It’s certainly no nonsense — I don’t see this incarnation of the Doctor going in for a fez, do you?
Peter Capaldi clearly agrees, as seen in the official press release:
Sporting a dark blue Crombie coat with red lining, dark blue trousers, a white shirt as well as black Dr. Marten shoes, the look was created by Doctor Who costume designer Howard Burden.
Commenting on his costume, Peter Capaldi said: “He’s woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark, and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100 per cent Rebel Time Lord.”
I dig it, although I’d probably dig it more if the BBC allowed the Twelfth Doctor to say “fook” every sentence. What do you guys think?
