Pioneer’s new $2,000 AVIC-N1 does so many different things, it’s hard to categorize. It’s an in-dash retractable LCD touch screen with integrated, comprehensive GPS-based navigation. It’s a media center, able to play DVDs, CDs, MP3s, and optional XM Radio. It’s also a performance monitor, measuring the acceleration, cornering, and speed of your car as you’re driving.
