So I finally leave the house for more than three hours (to go to the Gothamist/601am Happy Hour and then a party for Bulgari) and I come back to this: scads of emails about how Apple has “accidentally” leaked the specs for its new Power Mac G5. As expected, the new G5 looks really tight – up to a 2GHz dual processor, up to 8GB of RAM, three USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire 800 and two FireWire 400 ports, and optical and analog in and out. Official word of the new G5 isn’t expected until Steve Jobs’ keynote address on Monday at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, but we think this leak might not have been completely inadvertant.
