Preview Pages Visually Before Visiting, With Google Instant

If you have Google Instant switched on, you might notice magnifying glasses next to each search result. Hover over them, and a visual pop-up displays what the site looks like—helping find the exact site you're after. [Google Blog]


This still doesn't work in the Netherlands. It seems like a nice feature though, depending on how it's implemented. Does it resort to our browser to load the HTML from the website anyway and render it locally? Or does it take some sort of snapshot? Or better yet, do we get to load it from a cache on Google's servers?

I think the answer to these questions will make it fail or succeed, depending on what they decided to go with.
