PSX Production Hiccups

Game Science has a short excerpt from Japanese weekly “Shuukan Gendai” that reports that production of Sony’s all-in-one PSX has been stopped since early this month, due to a ‘development problem’ leading to ‘mismatched functionality.’ I’m not quite sure what that means, either, but some are speculating it has to due with the less-than-promised feature set of the Japanese version. Sony still plans to launch the PSX in Europe and the US in the second half of this year. Perhaps Sony is retooling to produce an upgraded (read: original specs) version?
