Question of the Day: Were You Satisfied by the Lost Finale?

That Lost finale sure was divisive! Some people loved it, others hated it and then there's a big chunk of people who want the internet to shut the hell up about it. Can't help you there, angry non-Losties!

Personally, I'm pretty ambivalent about it. By the time we were nearing the end of this last season it was obvious they were leaving all sorts of questions unanswered, and I accepted that. And I found myself emotionally involved in the finale itself as I was watching it. But still, I wish the finale had wrapped up the whole series rather than just the season 6 sideways timeline. I think I'm more annoyed that they wasted half the last season on that temple that ended up amounting to nothing than I am about the finale itself.

How about you?

DISCUSSION

I don't even think it wrapped up the flash sideways thing very well either... They all ended up in a funeral home while Jack's dad walked through the door into the light. WTF? Did that mean that they all died during the plane crash and the entire series they were dead and they didn't know it until just that moment? If that was the case, I was thinking they were all dead at the end of season 3, before Miles, Faraday, Lapidus, etc ever got into the mix. In fact, it was when they went to the island was when I doubted that assumption. Even the whole thing with the island. Okay, Jack died where did the people in the plane go? If they get back to the mainland, what happens to their "sideways selves"? I don't know it was crap and I've been saying for the last 3 seasons that the writers and producers didn't know what was going on anymore.
