House favorite Dan’s Data has reviewed the Razer Diamondback mouse, the ultra-high 1600 DPI optimal mouse designed specifically for gamers who need per-pixel precision when randomly launching bouncing grenades into darkened hallways. The Diamondback uses the same imaging chipset as the Logitech MX518 gaming mouse, and due to its overly sloped shape which makes it almost impossible to keep a comfortable grip on the thing, Dan recommends sticking with the Logitech if you need precision. That is unless you are a southpaw, in which case the right-only molding of the MX518 will do you no good—better to buy a Diamondback and an ample supply of grip tape.
