Heir to the infamous Boomslang super-mouse comes Razer’s newest creation, the Viper Gaming Mouse, essentially an updated optical version of its predecessor. ExtremeMHz tries out a Viper and comes away big fans (Extreme Excellence Award, dude!) but, really, this sort of thing is so subjective you’ll have to try one out yourself to get any idea of its worth to you. Razer is definitely appealing to the LAN party geek (is ‘geek’ superfluous here?) market with its belt-mounted carrying case and gold-plated USB plug. No word on price, but if the Boomslang was any indication, it will be far, far too expensive for anyone other than the uber-gamer to consider.
A friend of mine came over once with his newly-purchased Boomslang, and I swear to god, he lifted the thing out of its case with two hands.
