TrustedReviews has a write-up on the RLP2000, a mid-range LCD projector from Relisys. While packing some surprising features, such as the Faroudja DCDi signal processing unit, which uses ‘motion adaptive algorithms’ to help crappy interlaced video look tolerable on a progressive scan projector, they find a poorly-positioned internal fan causes vibration, making some images look ‘wobbly’. Humorously, this same wobble causes some images to look better by unintentionally blurring the image, making the RLP2000 — to my knowledge — the first LCD projector to utilize ‘Beer Goggle’ technology.
