Remember Ricochet? In all the buzz about WiFi and 3G you might have forgotten about Ricochet’s resurrected wireless Internet service that’s available right now in Denver and San Diego and manages speeds around 192kbps. It’s not as fast as WiFi, but then again you don’t have to find a hotspot either. Anyway, Linksys has a new Ricochet Router that lets up to four computers share one Ricochet connection. Can’t imagine that the demand would be that huge for these routers, since they’d only appeal to people who cant’ get DSL or cable (both of which are considerably faster), happen to live in a part of San Diego or Denver that is covered by Ricochet’s service, and need to share the connection amongst several computers.
