Palm Infocenter is running a rumor from one of their readers that details the specs and release date of the Palm OS-based Treo 700p. Saying he was shown an internal Sprint webpage with the information, the reader says to expect the launch of an EVDO-capable Treo 700p in May or June, running Palm OS Garnet 5.4.9. That confirms, if true, what most people have been expecting to hear about the upgrade from the Treo 650 to the 700p: besides the welcome addition of the EVDO modem and a 1.3-megapixel camera, there will be hardly any difference between the two models.
