This means you could possibly buy an Xbox 360 for half the price of a Playstation 3—quite a deal when you consider the Microsoft console is just as “next generation” as Sony’s, save for the whole Blu-ray playback thing.
Nonetheless, if this is true, it would definitely put a damper on the PS3 launch. Why go with a console with first generation launch games that’s uber expensive when you can have one that has two Christmases worth of games, some of which are actually pretty good?
