Well, if anonymous sources are correct, it looks like HP’s upcoming Hx4700 series iPaq Pocket PC is going to be a monster, with a 4-inch 640 by 480 VGA display, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition standard, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, an Intel Mr. Bulverde 624MHz processor (the Mr. may be optional), 128MB RAM/64MB ROM, CF and SDIO, and a d-pad that will be replaced by a touchpad system. If true, that’d pretty much take the 4700s to the top of the Pocket PC heap. Guess we’ll find out how accurate these stats are when the Hx4700s hit the streets towards the end of summer, replacing the H5550. Also, iPaqAbilities has a mockup of the 4700 which I have reproduced here, despite their ultra-crafty right-click suspending technologies. ‘Functioned Disabled’ my ass.
