Samsung is going balls to the wall this year with phone releases. They had a ton of new phones at CTIA earlier this month and today we are introduced to the Samsung A580. The key aspect of this phone is the addition of Sprint’s new wireless backup feature. It is a clamshell phone with the cookie cutter feature list that we know so well.

The wireless backup feature is a new service being added to Sprint. The service is an additional $2 per month and all information stored on the phone can be forwarded directly to a Sprint database and then the information can be accessed easily online and synced with a computer. Some phones will be able to be firmware upgraded to support this new service while other phones, such as the A580 are being sold ready for this service.
