The notion of having to buy special (expensive) glasses to able to watch the TV you just shelled out for is a terrible idea that should die, and it looks like Samsung (sort of) agrees.
The company’s 3DTV lineup will now come with two pairs of active shades included, and Samsung’s new 2011 SSG-3100GB 3D glasses have been knocked down to $50 each. Still a burden if you want to get a group around the TV, but a step in the right direction. [Samsung]
