Looks like Samsung has a new EV-DO Pocket PC phone coming out, and MobileBurn got to check it out at Samsung’s showcase event yesterday. Nobody really knows what carrier will offer it at this point; speculation leans toward Verizon. The i730 (or is it i790? MobileBurn isn’t clear on what’s what) features a sliding thumbboard, a big 2.8″ LCD, and 64MB, but other than that details are kind of sketchy. It’s clear from the photos (none of which feature the thumbboard due to some kind of NDA) that there’s a camera, and it looks like it’s may be of the 1.2-megapixel variety. Anyway, here’s another new phone for those of you keeping a tally, and apparently there were several other unannounced devices at the showcase, so we can probably expect a couple more from Samsung to be announced shortly.
