Gossip is more properly the domain of Gawker, our sibling blog, but there’s a rumor going around that Samsung is dropping its plans to build a Microsoft Smartphone-powered cellphone, and is going to use Symbian’s Series 60 operating system instead. Samsung would have been the only major cellphone manufacturer to use Smartphone, so losing them would be a bit of a blow.
