Samsung’s Gear VR headset thing is the subject of a new leak, with a mobile companion/control app for the gadget now unofficially available.
The app, obtained by Sammobile, describes itself as a Gear VR Manager and is a bit barebones without the actual hardware to manage, but once installed it connects to Samsung’s servers and downloads the plugins VR Panorama and VR Cinema, so development is quite clearly approaching the end game.
Sammobile reports there’s a warning option inside the hardware which alerts the user that he or she is in a fictional pretend world once an hour, just in case it all gets too exciting and everyday life begins to fall by the wayside. [Sammobile via Techradar]
