SanDisk is planning a series of camcorders, called “Grass Valley Infinity,” that will use CF cards instead of standard tapes. Working with Thomson, SanDisk has created a usage model in which two CF cards work in tandem to record scenes, no tape required. No word on pricing or availability, but with a name like “Grass Valley,” expect it to be China only at first.
