It’s camera season again, and Sanyo adds a new Xacti to their line-up to replace the S3 and S4 models. The DSC-S5 is a 5-megapixel cameras with a 1.8-inch LCD screen and a 2.8x optical zoom. It’s not going to blow your mind or anything, but it’s expected to hit the streets for a little over $330 (only to quickly drop its price by 30% like every other camera in this category).
Scheduled for Japan by February 15th—no word on a US release, but I don’t think we have anything to worry about.
