If you travel with an iPad you really have no choice but to bring along its bulky wall wart for charging. But thanks to Scosche's new CoverCharge, you can now at least leave your phone's charging cube at home to save some space.

The CoverCharge simply slides onto the iPad's power adapter, connecting to its standard USB port and splitting it into two for charging multiple devices from a single outlet. It's simple to install, adds only a minimal amount of bulk, and according to Pocket-lint will sell for about $18 when it's finally available. [Scosche via Pocket-lint]

Wait - so it turns ONE USB into TWO? Which of course means slower charging on both ports, doesn't it? Seems like a pretty useless product - why not just spend less and get a good two port USB charger like this: http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-Dual-Port-Travel-Charger/dp/B0073FE1F0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1363895396&sr=8-3&keywords=2+port+usb+charger
