Amazon is taking pre-orders on the ultimate gadget: Segway’s Human Transporter. At $4,950, they aren’t cheap, and they’re not available for delivery for until after March 1st of next year, so don’t expect to find one waiting for you beside the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. Unless of course you enter Amazon’s Segway HT Early Delivery Contest, in which all you have to do is put down a deposit on one and write an essay of 75 words or less entitled, “What I like most about the Segway HT.” 30 Lucky winners will have their Segway delivered to them by Christmas eve.
