When this mockumentary first aired on British TV circa Halloween 1992, some viewers believed its “live broadcast” investigating a haunted house was absolutely real. While audiences three decades later know Ghostwatch is fiction, its scare tactics are still highly effective—and you can see why its influence is still felt in found-footage horror projects even today.
