SmartDisk has announced their FlashTrax XT—an update to their older FlashTrax photo storage device. The XT features a 3.6″ LCD screen (but can also output to a TV or projector), an FM-tuner and audio playback. It’s USB 2.0 Mass Storage compatible, so you can use it as an external drive, and it can read and write to several different memory card formats. Additionally, the XT builds on its predecessor with expanded video playback support and (hopefully) longer battery life. It will be available in early May, with the 40GB version clocking in at $400. 80GB for $500.
