Not to be flip, but pretty soon NATO is going to be walking into battle zones in AT-ATs. This sniper detection system is just incredible. It’s an array of microphones aimed in different directions that can pick up and triangulate the location of sniper fire even in noisy locations. They’re currently testing them on Hummers in Iraq and a processing unit estimates the direction, elevation, and distance of a sniper after the first shot fired.
