Sharp has released their new home control panel, designed to monitor the miles of solar panels that will undoubtedly cover your house… of the future. The JH-G51X gives real-time information on power consumption, the charge being generated by the solar cells, how much excess power you can sell back to the grid, or how much of a deficit there is. It’s a clean, future-forward design that gets the job done—I just hope you can change the house icon from “pagoda” to something more contemporary. It will be available for between $2,900 and $4,200, likely just in Japan for now.
