The emphasis is on music with the Sony Ericsson W850 Walkman phone, the company's first GSM/UMTS slider. Equipped with the Walkman Player 2.0 which Sony touts as "easier to use," it also includes Gracenote Mobile MusicID, a service that lets you record a few seconds of a song off the built-in FM radio or with its microphone, and then you send that clip to the Gracenote worldwide music database which tells you its title.
There's a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo bundled with the phone, and that can be expanded to 4GB. And if you don't have that tune you're looking for on your Memory Stick, you can download it via operator over-the-air music (OTA) download services. There's also a 2-megapixel camera with full horizontal mode. The phone will be available in black or white during Q3 of this year.
