Sony whips out yet another flash memory product with its Memory Stick Micro (M2). Looks like Europe only at the moment, in capacities of 256MB, 512MB and 1GB.

Touted as the perfect mate for cellphones, the M2 memory card is about a quarter of the size of Memory Stick Pro media. The M2 adapter (same size as a standard Memory Stick) will also let you exchange data from Memory Stick PRO compatible products. The card itself is also designed as externally removable and comes with a controlled eject function so you won’t easily lose it. The Sony Ericsson M600i will be the first product to use the M2, though you won’t see the 1GB card until May of this year.
