Sony’s Net Juke shelf-top audio system is the latest product line to feel the MP3 flow, as the NAS-A10 has been announced with limited support for the format. While you can fill up the NAS-A10’s 40GB hard drive with MP3s just fine, ripping audio tracks using the new “One Button HD Record” feature only gives you the option of Sony’s ATRAC3 and PCM. That alone might be enough to stifle adoption, but the $600 price isn’t helping anything (although with included speakers, that’s not awful). Of course, if you live in North America, the fact that Sony doesn’t push the Net Juke line here would probably stifle your purchase, as well.
