Sony has a new one of those desktop VAIOs designed to replace a TV, this time called the VAIO M. It’s not that spectacular, features-wise, with the notable stand-out of a “Multidrive” super-burner that can handle not only DL (dual-layer) DVDs but DVD-RAM as well (if you don’t know what that is, you probably don’t need to). It has a horrible 32MB video card, though, and the form factor makes it impossible to upgrade – it’s basically a laptop in desktop clothing – but that’s not what it was designed for anyway. It’s a neat form factor, but I don’t think I’d ever buy one.
