JOEL JOHNSON — If you’re in the market for a true desktop-replacement laptop, you might look at the Sony VAIO PCG-GRT916G, which has gotten high marks from Riyad Emeran from TrustedReviews. The Vaio is spec-heavy, with a large, bright screen, integrated DVD writer, lots of USB and Firewire ports, and even support for Sony’s MemoryStick Pro. All this power comes at a price, though: the battery lasts only about and hour and a half, making the GRT916G an option only for those who rarely take their laptop off their desk.
