Sure, setting up a wireless network isn’t always that easy, but we’re not sold on Gaze-Link, Sony’s prototype solution for automatically connecting devices together. Basically, rather than having to configure settings manually, every device in a wireless network would have a sticker with a code on it that contained its settings. Then a laptop with a digital camera would just scan the sticker and automatically locate the device on its network, obviating the need to do any more configuration. We like the idea of making it easier to connect gadgets together (witness the endless nightmare that is Bluetooth), but needing to physically scan everything with a digital camera sounds like a hassle in and of itself.
