Logitech may have balked on their relationship with the Google TV platform, but Sony’s new Google TV streamer is hard evidence that the company is fully committed to the Android-based IPTV ecosystem.

The GS7 comes complete with the same touch pad-equipped, motion sensitive remote the Blu-ray player has, and provides access to all the same Google TV apps. Plus it has a picture-in-picture mode that allows you to surf the web while watching TV. If you already have a Blu-ray player, but are interested in what Google TV has to offer, this may be the product for you. It’ll be available this spring.

Sony also has a new Blu-ray player running the latest Google TV 2.0 software. In addition to offering access to the likes of Netflix, Hulu, and Pandora, the GP9 supports 3D content, and has a touch-pad remote with three-axis motion control. It’ll arrive this summer. [Sony]
