Multipurpose gadgets that try to do a bunch of different things usually end up just doing all of them badly, but Sony has introduced a display that they claim can satisfactorily handle gaming, television, DVD, and computing: the Personal Entertainment Display (PED) SDM-V72W, a 17″ flat-panel LCD television that doubles as a monitor for computers and gaming consoles.
