Sony has announced a 25GB Blu-ray disc made with 51 percent paper, making it easy to print directly on the disc and shred with household scissors for disposal. While the discs are more environmentally friendly, simply because they use an easily renewable resource, it isn’t entirely clear that the discs will be easily recyclable themselves. Still, exciting, although I can’t imagine they’d be the most durable things around. I wonder how well they hold up to spills?
