Soundmatters MAINstage Reviewed

Let’s do some quick math together. According to the folks at soundmatters, one box + one wire = six channels of audio for right around $200. How can this be? It’s even less fuss than the 5.1-into-3.1 solutions like Altec Lansing’s GT5051 or the Niro 600—but how does this “simulated Dolby 5.1” sound? Pretty damn good, at least for watching movies, according to Noah at PBC. It’s not going to compete with six true channels, but I bet for the price you’re going to have a tough time beating it.
