The Twitter update, like all updates, angered some people. We found some of the best Twitter apps out there to ease the updating pain and it turns out, one our choices is now on sale. It's a Twitter miracle! Plus, pretend you're an air-traffic controller, get five games in one, and Assassin's Creed has a card game now.
After last week's Twitter update, Tweetbot was one of the apps I recommended you check out. It's the Twitter app I use, and now it's on sale. The app is customizable, supports multiple accounts, uses smart gestures, and supports iOS 5 push notifications. I just wish they made it for every platform out there. Dropped from $3 to $1. [iTunes]
iOS: Assassin's Creed Recollection - $1
Hey you like card games? How about Assassin's Creed? Imagine a card game based on Assassin's Creed for iPad. Stop imagining, because it's real. Instead of running around, real-time card-based strategy will be how you destroy your opponents. The app also has a story mode and supports Game Center. Dropped from $3 to $1. [Appshopper]
The exciting life of an air-traffic controller. Controlling the skies like a choreographer controls dancers. Because the real-life consequences of throwing a random dude into a control tower would be disastrous, there's Flight Control for the iPhone. Draw paths for planes to follow and land on the correct runway. Just be sure not to allow them to run into each other, or people die game over. Dropped from $1 to Free. [Apps-aholic]
Android: Corona Indie Bundle - Free
Deals on individual apps are pretty awesome. Deals on a bundle of apps, well, that's spectacular (I'm pretty sure spectacular is better than awesome). The Corona Indie Bundle is a five-game pack bundled into one app. The games are; Grisly Manor, Robot 99, Walkabout, Chicken Quest, and Float. In Grisly Manor you visit your Grandpa's mysterious house in search of the old man. Like 99 luft balloons, Robot 99 is the sky filled with robots that you must keep from crashing to Earth. Collect Stars in Walkabout. Chicken Quest, well that's self explanatory if you're up on your fowl mythology. And Float is like Robot 99, except with actual balloons instead of robots. Dropped from $1 to Free. [Amazon]
