It might not be suitable for burning a can of franks and beans over an dangerously oversized open flame, but the Sternform mess kit is clearly a more modern solution than the wing nut-handled aluminum pots and pans of traditional Boy Scout issue. Sort of a thermal detonator for soup, the Sternform bowls have rubber tops and vacuum hollows, keeping the contents warm. Built-in magnet rims cause them to clip together, holding themselves secure in your pack or on the included strap.
Painfully, the Sternform bowls are just a concept design, so be prepared for dissapointment.
