“Stretchy Wires”

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University have built stretchy electronic circuits that will make wearable electronics comfortable and more functional — and could revolutionize medical treatments such as electrostimulation for Parkinson’s patients. The circuits, made from uniquely shaped gold springs, are 20 times thinner than a human hair and can stretch over half of their initial length.
