WiFi might be getting a bump up in its maximum speed. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, which decides these sorts of things, is considering a new standard called 802.11n that could have have a top speed of 320Mbps, almost thirty times faster than the 11Mbps that 802.11b can reach.
