I didn’t realize compasses were made for certain hemispheres. What can I say, I guess I just don’t get out enough. But it seems that if you buy a compass for the Northern hemisphere and use it in the Southern hemisphere, you’re gonna get lost. So, to make things easier for all of our wayward travelers, Suunto has come up with the Two Zone System compass, which will still work for a “fair distance” in either hemisphere. Look for the A, M and MC series as well as Arrow field compasses using this technology coming soon.
