Hooray! More Moore! Ron D. Moore’s latest thriller series Helix has received a straight-to-pilot order on Syfy! THR is reporting that we’re going to get 13 episodes (the perfect number) of Helix which also described the series as:
A thriller about a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak. There, they find themselves in a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation.
Moore is on as executive producer with Lynda Obst from Contact and Steven Maeda from Lost. Cameron Porsandeh wrote the pilot. Production will start in 2013.
