The smaller the flash memory, the smaller the mobile phone. At least I think that’s the rationale behind Sandisk’s new ‘T-Flash’ flash memory format, announced as being “about the size of a fingernail.” That and the need to make our quarter feel better about itself. Look how big you’re getting!
Sandisk would like to see the T-Flash replace the SIM card in many mobiles, making it easier to retain all your data (instead of just simple contacts) when switching from phone to phone. Motorola is the first handset maker to use the format.
