Everyone’s favorite wireless carrier T-Mobile is launching three Samsung phones that are aimed for the everyday user, rather than people with money burning a hole in their pocket. The three models—the t609, the t209 and the t319—won’t knock your socks off with their features, though they’re all compatible with Yahoo!, AIM and ICQ instant messenger services, but what do you expect with these types of budget cellphones?
The most advanced of the three, the t609, has a 1.3 megapixel camera, an MP3 player and a microSD card slot for your media. It also has Bluetooth, allowing both wireless headset connection and contact synchronization. It’s $150 after rebate.
The t319 is one notch down and its VGA camera has a 4x digital zoom and a Web browser. Basic, yes, but it’ll only set you back $40 with rebate.
Lastly, the bare bones t209…well, it’s a cellphone. It only supports the most basic of features, such as SMS text messaging, but’s its $20 price tag after rebate might do well for people just looking to have a cellphone because society now dictates that we all have one.
