Thailand IC-Design Incubator is developing a speaking drug label. Using that technology devil child RFID, each label will have a small chip that communicates with a reader, which will match the information with a drug directory database housed inside it and spit out the name of the drug, directions for use, and side effects in a hopefully steady, robotic voice. This will be a good addition for the elderly and those too lazy to measure out how many fingers of scotch go with their Oxycodone.
