The Army’s networked combat helmet

Infoworld on the new battlefield networking system that the US Army is working on. The heart of it is a helmet with a small attached monitor called an Integrated Helmet Assembly Subsystem, which can show a soldier his or her exact position on a map via GPS, display live video from unmanned aerial drones, and connect them to an ad hoc mesh network to all the other soldiers around him.
