The automotive side of CES

You might not know it from all the other articles about CES (including ours), which focused on flat-screen TVs, wireless PDAs, and the like, but there were plenty of automotive-related gadgets to be found at the Las Vegas trade show last week. EdgeReview has a roundup of the best of them, including the CarChip from Davis Instruments, which lets you keep tabs on the information in your car’s onboard computer; the TrafficPro from Harman Kardon, which combines a car stereo with GPS navigation; and the TracVision from A5KVH Industries, which brings digital satellite television to your car courtesy of a small dish you attach to the roof or hood. A satellite dish on top of your car? Yeah, that won’t look dumb.
