The BBC’s Doctor Who docudrama gets the first Doctor exactly right

Shockingly, that’s not an old picture of William Hartnell as the first Doctor. That’s actor David Bradley as Hartnell, in the first promo picture for Mark Gatiss’ An Adventure in Time and Space, the docudrama retelling the creation of Doctor Who.

Bradley — who you might recognize as cranky janitorial staffer Argus Filch from the Harry Potter movies, or as Walder Frey, the dude who wrecked your shit in this past season of Game of Thrones — is uncanny as Hartnell. Check it:

Man. The BBC should seriously use Bradley to refilm any lost First Doctor episodes. He’s perfect!
