Norm Macdonald
Bone-dry, razor sharp and staggeringly smart. That was the comedy of Norm Macdonald. Macdonald was a stand-up comedian who rose to fame as the Weekend Update anchor on Saturday Night Live through some of its most popular years. He went on to star in movies such as Billy Madison and Dirty Work while always being one of the most viciously funny voices on late-night TV—and even lent his voice to Seth McFarlane’s sci-fi series The Orville, voicing gelatinous crew member Yaphit. He died of leukemia this year at age 61.
